What types of questions are in a Kira asynchronous assessment?
During an asynchronous assessment, you submit video and/or written responses to questions that have been pre-recorded by the school. Each question will have a set amount of time for how long you have to respond to each question.
Your recording or written answer will automatically submit at the end of the allotted response time. You can also click Submit to save your response and move on to the next question before response time is over.
Video questions
A pre-recorded video will play for you once. The associated question text will remain on screen throughout your preparation and response time. You answer by recording a timed video response using your camera.
You can track your remaining prep and response time using the countdown timer and bar at the top of your screen.

Written questions
Question text is displayed on your screen for the duration of your response time. There is no video and no preparation time, but written questions often have a longer response time. You answer by typing a written response.

How do I see how many questions I have and what type they are?
If you have already received your invite email, click the Check In button to navigate to your assessment. On that initial page, click the Learn More button and go to the second slide, called Assessment Details. This slide will show you the type and number of questions, along with the expected duration of your assessment.
Alternatively, once you begin your assessment, you will see how many questions you have, the question type (video or written), and the preparation and response time for each question.
